I Pray

Missing image

Oh My Dear Goddess,
Show me some guidance
Lift me in your arms
Give me reassurance

Chaotic emotions
Within a haze
I walk in limbo
Through life's maze

Let me know
All is for not
I can't help feeling
Tied in knots

A lost soul, I am
Feeling out of place
Falling through
Time and space

Right or left
Which way to turn
My path is
My only concern

Oh Divine One,
Hear my call
Lead me again to
Stand proud and tall

Caught between
Dreams and reality
My only wish is
To be set free

I need your help
Show me the way
Lead up and out
Far from this dismay

Grant me serenity
To find inner peace
Letting all my
Inner turmoil cease

Oh Great One,
To you I pray
Reach down
Show me the way

Author notes

This will be my last post for awhile. How long I don't know. I will be around but not often at all. I will also continue to reading and commenting but posting I will not.

Many Blessings to you all....

the above stanza ripped into me as this is my soul you wrote on paper my prayers to the Goddess are offten i am too small mother lift me up and show me my path. i think for this verse alone you should win the gold. i think she did make the absolute right decision. there was no coin flip in my book you win by a mile. i have delebritly not read most of the poems in my contest as i dont want to get confused and am going to give each a thourough reading through before judging it. it is now closed but i hope i will find another jem like this in my pagan poems contest from you thank you so much for the courage of this write as i know it is your soul on paper too. brightest blessings be up on you sister of the circle! be happy and prosperous in the new year, and may your flower gardens of creativity bloom bright!

your friend and fellow writer M.C.

Beauty. That is what this piece of your soul holds. The beauty of raw emotions, prayer, the Goddess, the God, everything in this prayer; in this poem.

My prayers are with you if you choose to embrace them

    Blessings,

    ~ Dian

WOW... i really like this poem. It reflect some of my current emotion toward my faith. It like im floundering in all I believe. However, By sending me a stundent, the Goddes reasured me that what I believe it right. She too will grant your prayers request, and help you through these puzzling times. Also...before I forget, I think that inserting the picture of the crouching naked girl helped to define the emotion of being lost from your words. She is like the spokesperson in a way. Sitting in a low esteem postion, having all fears naked to find the tuth, or even just encouragement. Great write, and keep it up!

Sweetie..my heart aches for you and this confusion.
This is one of the most sincere and beautiful prayers I have seen here and I know that it will be answered.

You have touched so many lives on this site. I pray you may find some peace and hope within their caring for you. Is this "real" life? Perhaps not. Still...I've know some on this site who were saved by the concern and caring of this array of poetic strangers.
Please know that many here do care...and they will be sending their own prayers to help you find your way.

    hon...

Beautiful and loving, so full of hunger for the knowledge to be unlocked from within. It is, I think, the best poem you have written yet hon... hang in there and know that you are not alone in these feelings and thoughts.

    Hugs and love,

    Prayers are often granted
    blessing therefore are planted
    however we turn away
    from where we stay.

    So down the path
    we feel empty laughs
    why does sadness follow
    and feelings so hollow.

    Best to stay straight
    and for blessings wait
    yes the forest's dark
    until opening into parks.

    Oh sweet lady you
    wonderful poetess and true
    let not friends rue
    fear what you'll do.

    God is always God
    guiding path in woods
    we turn from Him
    innocently in our sin.

    Beautiful

This was one of the most sincere prayers I have read/heard in a very long time. I wish I could help you in this time of turmoil...just know I am around if you need me, just leave me a note or something...This was a wonderfully written prayer, I hope to see more of these in the coming days.
