You secretly seethe with jealousy
Jade and emerald entice
Banknotes are forked out readily
A common but powerful vice
Chloroplasts are catching light
Turning it to life
Grassy pasture taking breath
Forests imposing might
The island is a patchwork quilt
Society’s seams are showing
Lime is poured in wounds again

I plan to have a little booklet, lots of poems on lots of colours, and Lost and Ignorance in Bed, for my father's 50th birthday on Sunday. Help appreciated.
