His heart is carved into his arm
Inhopes that she can see
all the pain she could kiss better
and what he wants to be
they claim she cuts to forget
but I say the scars help remember
of all the pain love brings
and that he's the greatest pretender
He knows she swallows pills
and drinks her pain away
but still those three words
are what he longs to say
She knows he's tried to do it
once or twice before
and everytime he did
she was passed out on the floor
and yet one day the both
decided it was too much
never knowing that the other
was also craving their touch
as cliche as it may sound
they took their lives the same day
the three words they needed to hear
were all the notes had to say.

Such a tragic love poem. I really empathised with these characters as their love seemed completely doomed! I liked the heartbreaking end, it really made this piece. Much enjoyed!
