Mind to Pen

Daffodils or winter chills
In my head on verdant hills
Amidst the whirls of social ills
In photos, thoughts undoing.
Gifted far beyond your pills
Bittersweet with speck of dill
Technicolor raincoat skills
Mindful of their viewing.

Hearts eye, minds eye, bit of soul
Fragrance wafting through the whole
Amber radiance to behold
Thick skin takes a booing
Enter tapestry of old
Heavy spirit, arms to hold
Graze above the yellows gold
Effervescent mooing.

Grateful, hateful as I be
Filled with wondrous things to see
Soul of spirits symphony
Pinks that fade to bluing
Imagination running free
To darkness depth or willow tree
Where dreams touch reality
From mind to pen imbuing.

    Good

This work sounds like it was inspired by The Moody Blues. Good work. Your rhyme is solid and your words flow well.

    Beautiful!

You do such a good job with imagery. And I love how you got the rhythm down perfect! This is contest quality, and you didn't even write it for a contest! Truly you are a poet.

I love the way you write your thoughts out. Each and every time I read your work, it provokes so much thought and consideration that there may just be something laying there under it all. A message within the message, so to speak. I enjoyed reading this.
