My Beautiful Boy

My Beautiful Boy
Wasted away
Now something ugly
Takes your place
You were too young
This happen too fast
My Beautiful Boy
Your chemical happiness
Took you away
And no one knew
Just what to say
My Beautiful Boy
Your addiction ate your body
Your sadness ate your soul
Turning you into someone
I didn't know
My Beautiful Boy
You are gone
And I'm not sure how to deal
My Beautiful Boy
Was this even real?

Oh my god. That was lovely. And sad at the same time, sort of an oxi-moron, or ironic. I'm terribly sorry about your loss, and his, only 15. That's so sad. I've neevr done drugs, but I know some people who gave up their lives, (not in a literal sense, but sort being alive, but not really there.)for drugs. Which is why I don't do them.
    I'm so sorry.

Wow, I'm so sorry you lost your friend to drug addiction. Addiction is such a horrible thing, and very hard to break free from. Some people never do. It's so sad when it's someone so young. My heart goes out to you. *hugs* Thanks for sharing!

This is so sad. I love the combination of the words "chemical happiness." Excellent. Very well done indeed, thanks for sharing!

Oh, dear! Addiction is a hard thing to work with on both sides. Remember it well and hope life improves for one and all. Your piece was very well composed with a flow that catches the readers attention. Terrific write and I hope he reads it, learns that his addiction affects others. I had to. Not always that angelic even now and sometimes miss using, but responsibilities must come to the fore and one must bring from within the spirit to fight. Stand by always and never give up, dear. You are important even if he should not see that. Oh, and thank you for the homepage listing, but u might want to change my id from 'PhoenixRising'. My friends gave my phoenix a name...lol. Peace and love, rose

Wow, this is an amazing poem. I really liked it, it just gives you the feeling of the regret of the loss of this boy, and how a stupid drug addiction changed him forever. Great job.
