White Mountain

Miles of mountains open our eyes
As we fall into a world of peace
We are at ease for the first time
All troubles we once had have ceased

There is clarity in the winter breeze
Welcoming soft kisses of flurries
Slowly rising above the clouded sky
A tranquil state without worries

The White Mountain is surrealistic
A beauty once just our imagination
Now sage is right at our fingertips
God has made such a beautiful creation

Author notes

Went on a little vacation this weekend and thought I'd jot something down about it. It was breathtaking!

ahhh..what an amaingly refreshing poem. I like the contrast in the first two lines between the "miles of mountains" and the idea of falling into peace. And we do fall into it don't we, becuse it can definatly be uncontrollable. So thankyou for this amazing pem and excellent work.

    Beautiful Poem

This is a beautiful poem, nature has a way of enfolding us with peace, joy and love. It's when we experience this that we find ourselves able to be at peace with ourselves, that inner peace that is like a comfort blanket wrapped around us. The heavens truly declare his glory. Beautiful poem, well done

    Dear Aimee,
"I lift mine eyes to the hills, whence cometh my help."
Mountains especially, of all the beauties of nature, can make us realise how infinitesimal we are, ourselves, in the scheme of things and how temporary are our troubles in the face of immutable Nature.
"Lo! We wonder at His Glory, yet how little is known of His Ways!"
A beautifully evocative poem, illustrating a deep spirit and a profound appreciation of God's works. Applause,
    Love and hugs, XXX Hugh.
