As I wandered many roads You were right there by my side,
To talk with me, comfort me, and to be my guide.
I wouldn't be where I am today without Your endless love,
And I thank Thee my God in heaven who watches me from above.
Lord You are worthy of all praise and may the glory be to You,
I wish that I could give You all honor that is due.
You saved this wretched sinner and I can only stand in awe,
You sent Your Son and willingly let Him take my destined fall.
Author notes
This is about God giving us His only Son to take the place of sinners. The lowest of all creation. What could possibly be lower than ourselves? For that I am truly Thankful

Nice piece. I think people maybe don't show their gratitude enough, and I am in the worst of that bunch.
Nice simple rhyming. An enjoyable read.

'and willingly let Him take my destined fall'. So well 'spoken' these feeling you have conveyed in these few lines. Good rhythm and rhyme, easy to read and understand. Enjoyed this.
