Moonlight palace

Shafts of light shine through these temple walls
Shining with beauty only the goddess of the moon could create,
Glowing through the glass adorned walls stained with blood and sweat.
Why are these things kept hidden; no one knows, nor cares.
This hidden grace land glows with the radiance of the moon
Shafts dancing with the pillars of twisted vines
Its water shimmering with utter passion as the moonlight reaches its depths
Diving through the water swimming gracefully to reach those who miss its radiance at the floor of these great streams that surround the moon temple
This place is lost
Forbidden by the sun god
No one is to step foot into this sacred place, that now awaits its goddess in its vast wealth of despair

Author notes

Writing about the moon is what my poem is about.

I love the moon, and I think you've captured its essence in this beautiful poem. You're getting better with each word penned. Keep it up!
