It's a hard choice.
£10
A CD or a life
Sometimes that's all it takes.
It is a hard choice. I really mean it.
Because £10 won't always save a life.
Corruption is everywhere. Maybe it'll be £10 of a limo.
£10 of a cigar. Or maybe they will just die anyway.
Have a drink. Think it over.
For ten pounds seven people can have safe water.
For ever.
And that money will get through.
Human life is cheap.
In fact life is cheap.
£24. One goat.
12 pints of milk a week
Lots of nice manure for the fields.
That could be a life.
It's a hard choice.
Or think half that price.
£12.
200 school meals.
Sometimes it takes so little.
And yet which choice will we make.
A CD or a life.
Its hard to even comprehend how cheap life is.

A sad and confrontational poem. Where did you get the figures from? Obviously if they are correct it is a stark comparison that the cost of a CD could do so much somewhere else. So you firmly believe the responsibility lies with each individual person? While I agree that not enough people donate to charities or are even interested in what they have to say, I feel that there is a much larger issue than what the individual can do. The best an individual can do, really, is apply pressure on their gvernment.

nice way to show u care for the people, I would appreciate your unique way of spreading a message for a noble cause through a small poem, kudos to you.
