Thou shalt

it's been overlooked
buried, forgotten
beneath scrolls and codices
relegated to the bottom
of the religious rhetoric

stop searching for the secret mystery
give up on the exclusive message

EVERYONE is a child of the I AM

Thou shalt coexist

Author notes

Every letter has a symbol that represents a system of thought: The crescent and star for Islam; the pentagram for Wicca; the relativity formula for science; the star of David for Judaism; the Karma Wheel dotting the i for Buddhism; the Tao symbol for Taoism; the cross for Chrisitianity.

    An interesting piece...

An interesting piece; we are all certainly a child of the Almighty, for in His Word it is written that we are made in His Image and that Christ died to reconcile us to Jehovah; nicely written. --Joe

ah if only! it would be nice if that was indeed the eleventh comandment. It might solve many of the problems in the world today. Or it might not. It all depends on interpretation.

After reading some of the other posted in this contest, I was moved more by yours. It is not flowery, nor poetic; it is truth. And, although covered in other places, this is not covered by the original ten commandments. I feel that it would make a worthy addition. This should have placed, somewhere. It is a disappointment it did not.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Powerful...

Very powerful message in your words...this truly is a great "commandment". The symbols made it stand out well, and when you wrote "EVERYONE is a child of the I AM", well, that just put the icing on the cake. I applaud you in your work...very brilliant and passionate i presume. I could not have done this better myself ^_^. God bless you.

Excellent piece, I can find no fault. I hope this piece gets the consideration it deserves. Far too many spiritual and religious writes center around the I'm right, you're wrong mentality, Applause for you. And I might even buy the bumper sticker.

definately says something about our culture doesn't it!

Despite that, I think the theology in it is interesting. Judiasm is central to both Islam and Christianity - take a look at where they are placed. The beginning, middle and end of this word are three of the faith groups who need to understand that message most.

I see that all the symbols are worth $2.99 as a bumper-sticker. . . . that says something already.
    - I might enter the contest, but it seems to be the Eleventh Commandment should be respect the above Albert
