No Man is an Island

More than grateful for my life itself,
I am grateful for the loved ones in my life.
For without their soulful company of wealth,
the sheer beauty in life wouldn't feel right.

Man or woman can sit in ivory towers in luxury,
but with no one else sharing there's no supreme.
Even nature herself cannot shine a light,
takes rays of sunlight just to make it right.

No man is an island else misery his only friend,
I'm grateful for the companionship to the bitter end.
Trails and tribulations are much easier to mend,
when weight on your shoulders is shared by a friend.

Without family, loved one or companion animal,
the joy and beauty of this life is only minimal.

How true your words are.all the money in the world could never make up for the loved ones in our lives. It is their presence that makes life worthwhile, Ros

I too loved the isolation of this island.Although what my poem claims is such a truth,we all need our private moments to regroup at times too. Thanks your comments are always so thoughtful.~~~Suseann

ha! so well said of companionship, no matter who or where ,
we cannot console ourselves without an other soul, ;the picture was a paradox ,because i'd swim to that beautiful little island
ha ha .. that sky was superb ....good message

Beautiful. We are not rocks. We are flesh and bone. So easily broken when we think we are all alone!
    Marvelous Write!

very nicely written, suseann. I noticed a couple type-os in the first line. (then should be (than). it's self should be (itself). Your message is a good one indeed and seems to be aimed at me (I'm sure it wasnt though).
