Somewhere between
Childhood and adulthood
Sixteen and twenty-one,
Milestones that supposedly
Never die - always live on.
Somewhere between
This life and the next
My dreams and my goals,
Things that should be the same
But are decided differently.
Somewhere between
Happiness and joy
True love and reality.
Perhaps this time, maybe
The latter's got the best of me.
Somewhere between
One day and the next five
Slowly counting them down
And the weeks just go by.
Soon these moments will die.
Somewhere between
Knowing who I am
And who I will be,
But not quite certain yet
If it is the thing I should be.
Somewhere between
Post-heartache and reliability
Paranoia and trusting unhesitatingly
Searching for someone that I want
And knowing that I've already found him.
Somewhere between
Four walls, a door, and a ceiling
The carpet has been ripped up
The foundation is being reinforced
By the chance that I'll see you.
Somewhere between
Living and Believing
That the floor and the ceiling
Can come to a reconciliation
If only just to save civilization.
Somewhere between
Perfect structure and cliche
Amazingness and banality
Genius and insanity
That one, thin line makes all the difference.

Very good diction and word usage. I think this is THE best piece of yours I've ever read.
You always know what to write and how to write it well Jenny.
