The Twilight of Emotion

Love

Bringer of fury
healer of passion

here I stand on the border
the twilight of my emotion

on one side a life of love
on the other a road of numbness

while one will have many more aches
the other will be more painless

one side of lust and togetherness
the other of relational emptiness

will friendship be enough for me?
or will that desire keep eating me up?

please let it eventually fade to black
'cause the pain of breaking up,
I never want back...
