They All Gathered Around In Silence
Waiting To Plant The Tree For Him
For The Memory Of Their Friend
A Little Boy They All Knew
And Played With Each Day At School
It's Hard For Them To Understand
Why He Had To Go
As They Each Take Turns
Putting Dirt Around The Tree
Some Smile Some Cry
Some Don't Know What To Say
But They All Love And Miss Him
And Will Each And Everyday
I Know That He Was Watching Us
Plant The Tree For Him That Day
This Tree Is For Your Memory Jess
A Friend Gone But Never Forgotton
Waiting To Plant The Tree For Him
For The Memory Of Their Friend
A Little Boy They All Knew
And Played With Each Day At School
It's Hard For Them To Understand
Why He Had To Go
As They Each Take Turns
Putting Dirt Around The Tree
Some Smile Some Cry
Some Don't Know What To Say
But They All Love And Miss Him
And Will Each And Everyday
I Know That He Was Watching Us
Plant The Tree For Him That Day
This Tree Is For Your Memory Jess
A Friend Gone But Never Forgotton

Wow, I am definately lamenting. This poem was so beautiful and heart-felt. The tragedy is sad and I am really sorry for the event.
You did such a fine job describing it and putting emotion into it. This is truly a wonderful and sincere write. Great job and best of luck.

It's a tragic twist, that often some of the most beautiful poems are written in grief and anger.
I'll try to put this in a way that doesn't seem off, the simple way, the simple emotions that you put down, just how, you stated right out about what people must be feeling, and tried not to hide it behind pretty words, I think that is what makes this piece really powerful.
It saddens me that what this poem is based on is true, and that one so young was taken away, it's always painful when children are lost.
I thank you for sharing this poem with us, and with me, I enjoyed reading it. -
