I just can’t see
Why is this her fate
Why again will she never be
As I sit in my classes during the day
The teacher’s lecture washes over my deaf ears
My mind keeps on wandering astray
Towards her my mind stears
Oh, my Lord, I will never understand
How your awesome plan plays its way
Of course, I am not supposed to know the way of your hand
I am to have faith in the fact that you will get me through each and every day
I love and trust you so much but why my Lord
Why did you make her suffer so
I loved her so much and now she has struck the last note in the chord
Her beautiful face has lost its lustrous glow
The late nights dreading your next move on the board
Why though, why did I fear your hand
Give me strength and accept my apologies for being absurd
You, I know will take care of her, in heaven I know she will stand
An angle has come and taken her away
But now my Lord, I am glad she is gone
These past few years have been spent in pain day by day
Now I know her beautiful features are at rest but alive in my song
She will always live with us in the heart
That wonderful woman who always was there
God know that she has played her part
There is not one single glowing, musical word from her I will spare
I know she is gone and has nothing left to finish
I am glad that she is now at rest from the horrid beast that has held sway
For her my love song will never diminish
I know that there will come a time when we will be together another day
Author notes
I just lost a very dear person to me yesterday. I would like to dedicate this to Sally. A wonderful woman who has finaly moved on from the horrors of breast cancer. Now I hope and pray that she is at peace. Also, this poem is for all those who suffer the loss of a loved one.

this is sad but it reflects your deepest emotions about your lost.the one i wrote was inspired by watching a friend died from aids.i would go to the hospital just to be near him although what i saw was horrible.it's never easy to watch a loved one pass away.you did a beautiful job with this.

hai Leanna, reading ur work made me really sad... i know the pain of loosing someone we love so much, its terrible... but its a consolation to think that they r with god up there in that eternal land, away from this sinful world! i can understand the pain u mustv felt... things will get better soon :-)
loved this poem... -
I would never intemtionaly critizes Him for anything...course...I will make mistakes. Duh. I am just happy that she is happy.

Hi, Leanna. That was a good poem and so sad, but I must remind you of something. God does not do the bad, but He makes it into good. I know that you know this, but you sort of made it sound like it was His fault for certain things. I'm glad your friend is now with him, and I'm sorry that you'll have to miss her until you meet up with her again. Over all, I thought it was a really good write. Farewell...

Hey Josh-13,
A world without flaws...hmmmmm. I quite honestly can't imagine such a thing...it would be nice though. I just pray that Sally is up there, away from the pains of the world, having the best time imaginable. ~ -
This poem was much heart felt, You did an awesome job putting this one together. It's sad to lose someone so close, but really it's for better, cause when I did, I'm going to be happy to see Jesus, and go home. The world is full of suffering and pain, I mean can you imagine what it would be like with out temptation, with no flaws, perfect? that would be awesome. this poem was a blessing to read, and you did a good job expressing the emotions behind it. I am sorry for your loss, but ya know, she's watching over ya.
well anyways, God bless ya.

Thank you for your kind words. The both of us know this pain. However, the Lord is kind and will look after both of them well. Love is the greates part of Him. Do not stumble, walk foward and be strong. *~*

I am so very sorry for your loss, I know you must be going through your own hard times right now. To write this poem and post it in spite of your own recent loss just shows your true character and how compassionate you are. Thank you so very much for posting this beautiful poem, my mum also suffered from cancer so I know first hand how cruel and debilitating this horrible disease is. I do hope your days get better and your pain is replaced with happiness once again. This poem is a wonderful and very touching tribute. Your kind words and thoughts are appreciated very much. Be strong and take care
