So Foolish

I was afraid to say yes
But now I don't have to say no
I hoped too much
Jumped too far
Fell too hard
And it was based on just a dream
Beating myself up
Over what a fool I was
To think you could love me
Instead of one of your whores
To think you're even capable of love
Almost makes me laugh
If I weren't crying so hard
So now as I sit here
Holding back tears
I tell myself your not worth it
But I know I'll never fully get over you

Author notes

Ok here's the sister poem to "Afriad". It's kinda like the sequel, or like what happened after. You get the point right?

thx i fixed that now. and take a look back at what you said about choosing. And choosing doesn't always have to be about love you know, it can also be about friendships. I'm just saying Dexter's not the only one to choose whores over the ones who care...
