Terra Firma Everlasting

Terra Firma ease my spirit,
I seek your wisdom of the ages.
Let me listen make it clear that,
war passes and calm replaces rages.

I feel vibrations of ancestral wisdom,
buried deep within the voice's whisper.
Telling me things do pass in their time,
of my sorrowed tears no reason to whimper.

Your cool solid strengh restores my soul,
in trust my ancestors words deliver peace.
Sing to me your song so soothing to a heart,
give my troubled blind spirit sweet release.

Anchor me body and soul to you in sorrows passing,
please drive away these fears hold me everlasting.

This is excellent suseann... from a feeling of uncertainty and anguish at the beginning of your poem, you bring your reader to a wonderfully, calm and hopeful conclusion.

    Well Done!

Sonnets are very hard to write. Your meter is not consistant, but your rhyme is right on. I like the pairing of whisper and whimper. I like the subject very much.

A very good interpretation of the picture and of the statue Suseann. A well-constructed poem too. I loved the couplet at the ending. Well done and good luck in the contest!
