Mt. Your Mind

I shove my hands through your eyes, grasp a string
Tied tight to your mind and oscillating
Pull myself within the deep facades
As your vision slowly fades.

Perhaps I can climb Mt. Your Mind
And see what garbage I might find
While I render your eyes blind.

Your thoughts once seemed tangible
Your demeanor manageable
Your heart held open in your hands…
But now your heart’s melted away
Your soul burned out as thoughts decay
To ashes in the sands of the past.

Trudge to the top of Mt. Your Mind
And see what waste that I might find
While I render your eyes blind.
Hold tightly onto the string
As I absorb everything
And leave you with just nothing.

You held me above the earth
Before my creation, my birth.
You held me high and hugged me hard
Against your robe, under your halo
Nurtured me with all you knew
Thought all I saw and felt was true… Like you! Like you! You made me like you…
First you trapped me, now you throw me--

So I shove my hands through your eyes, grasp a string
Tied to your mind and oscillating,
Pull myself up from the facades
As your vision slowly fades.
No wings or halos will ever save you
Your life and knowledge has betrayed you
Just as you’d forsaken me
With your great mistaken virtues.

At the top of Mt. Your Mind
I’ll sell all the crap I find
And laugh at you as you go blind.
