taken
from the dark blood
and passed through my senses,
words grow hands and tongues, continue
to breathe

Such a metaphor that only a deep well woman could imagine...as all I can manage is my snow white children to dance my page and look for feathers...but this image makes you want to hold the poem in your arms and offer a brest to coo and sigh in sir suspended to towel on shoulder...beautiful

so much said to simplicity....
nicely done in your way with words
keep on keepin on!
peace in all you do

You are way too kind, Oisin...wow, I had such a dry spell with poetry, but thanks..! ~

I am beginning to believe that it is you who lies behind the inspiration others seem to find.
wow. -
Poetry brings life, and life brings on more poetry. In my mind this is quite a paradox, but very true none the less. Sometimes I get the feeling that poetry is everything, because it's a way of storing things for good- almost as if finally making them concrete.
This is an amazing piece of writing. You have so much talent..

Extraordinary, Nic. This is simply stunning. I am in total awe of your talent, once again. Your word choices are perfection, carressing our hearts and souls with the light touch of your gentle fingertips. Makes me want to whisper my response so as not to disturb the warm, tender feeling it embues us with. Such beauty... You are truly gifted, dear girl. Exquisite, Nic...Deserving of the win.!! I adore it, and you. Much love and laughter coming your way, Sweet Lady! Love ya!!

I'm home from one week in Prague, and god I missed this site so much... I really feel like an addict you know
I'm truly one of the happiest persons ever right now, since I got the chance to stumble upon some wonderful words created with a touch of your hands...
Truly an amazing piece of art!

Simply beautiful. So many emotions conveyed in so few words. This gave me a soft, yet melancholy feeling. I love your poems, they always wake my senses and give me something to remember when I am down. Beautiful.
Blessed be

...and you my sweet poetic sister give words not only life but you give them a "quality to life". This is stunning Nic. Sometimes the muse needs a rest so she can come back powerful and even more beautiful. Reading this just proves that! This is a wonderful cinquain.

So much held in two hands- first the hands holding the baby and then the poet holding these words and letting them loose here, on this page with all their simplicity and beauty.

Thank you, Elaine ~

Thank you, Steve...yes, love gives life and breath - like our love

beautiful
-
i think poetry is in us all but only a fortunate few can give breath to words and you are one bokkie .. so nice to see your poetry flower again.
pppsssssssst .. always have loved this suite of pictures too
love Steve -
Wow. I see you really got your inspiration back. I agree that poetry can come as an extension of ourselves when our words are written and they still exist through the poem. I liked the picture you've chosen for this poem - that is like the best metaphor, since it's not even the poem but suggests the correlation between your words and the image. Very well done.

Amazing??? Typical, I'd say...
Between you, me & Robin, we've been on one hell of a roll lately...so much for mileage being a deterrant, eh??? I may help increase your quantity & speed, but you've increased my quality & depth, m'Love...

Thank you, Queen of Poetry. I wrote this one so quickly - you must be having a very good influence on me!! You know, at first I wrote the last line as "to live" and then I changed it "to breathe"...and there you give me this quote - amazing!
-
Wonderful, Nic!!!
See how you are???
This is a beautiful cinquain, my Friend...but then, you are the Queen of giving life to words...especially in this form...Good luck in the contest, m'Lady...

for 'making poetry' is the same as the verb 'to breathe'."
