Here’s to God
may he rot in hell
‘cause he doesn’t care about us.
Heaven’s littered with broken dreams
that would cut you if you got there.
The pearly gates are chained and locked
even the saints are barred.
The angels spit on humanity
and they dare to call us vile.
Eden burned a long time ago
when Eve first ate the apple
The devil laughed as God threw her out
when he knew she had no choice.
God himself could have formed her pure
could have left temptation out.
But he made it sharp like a cocklebur
as he set her up to sin.
Then God punished her for what he had wrought
when he cursed her with a womb.
He cast her down with an aching need
then -- he denied her fruit.
From her barren loins he sent endless blood
to remind her of of her loss.
And he sat up there as begged and cried
deaf to all her pleading.
So don’t preach to me of benevolence
when the world is washed with bile.
And God watches life from his easy chair
while we sweat and scream and toil.
There is no way out
till we take control
and we cast God in the pit.
I’ll tell you now
God’s wearing black
and he wants to steal your dreams.
Then he’ll ride away with your soul in flames
as he roasts you on the fire.
Don’t worry though since he’ll send back
…There is no where else to go.
Heaven’s closed for eternity
and hell’s right here on earth.
Here’s to God
may he rot in hell
‘cause life can’t get any worse.

Author notes
I'm going thru a dark time and this is my rant at God. It's not my normal style and I'm not even sure if it says what I want it to. Please don't preach to me or tell me I'm going to hell, because frankly tonight I already feel like I'm there.

Well, you have courage, my dear. I would never dare be so blatantly blasphemous!

Lol. I loved the "blasphemy warning" in the title. That totally cracked me up this morning. Thanks so much for the entry. Sometimes it's fun to rant like this and not be made to feel guilty afterwards

Hi Patricia. I'm sorry that someone would preach at you and tell you that you are going to hell. It always makes me so sad to see people of faith kicking someone when they're down-- because that's not what we're supposed to be about at all. I'm sorry.
