awwww this is so sweetly sad... or maybe it's sadly sweet... whatever it is, i like it. I wish you luck in the contest. it makes me think about the family of the kid at my school who died a few weeks ago... i feel so bad for the people who feel this way, especially around family holidays. Great write and best of luck to you!!
