Into the Night

Missing image
Five hundred shades of red are shining bright
In splendor, as the day cascades to night.
There’s yellow swirled with orange of every hue
All washed upon the oceans endless blue.

The azure’s fading quickly in the glow
It’s helpless when the fires of passion flow.
Crimson flames and spreads across the sky
The stunning colors dapple you and I.

You reach for me as twilight paints our skin
with the colors of the maestro’s violin
Auburn dances in your umber eyes
Encouraging a welling saffron prize.

Warm ginger mixes with the scarlet heat
As vivacious shades into the sea retreat
You strip me and you watch the sunset's flare
caress my body and my curling hair.

I shiver and I melt into the sand
As the effervescent evening claims the land.
You follow and I feel our love ignite.
As we shatter silver stars into the night.

Author notes

I hope you like this.  I love sunsets almost as much as I love my Joe, and it's my dream of him and me in our own private sunset.  Patti

this is a nice piece... the beginning part was though better than the end, but it can be said that it was over all a good piece!

    Nice

Nice dream. I could feel the passion stirring within my own being. Nicely done.
