Many layers
to their relationship
they both can be tired but happy
and after peeling all the layers away
they're both left in their nappies...
I was pondering deeper and deeper on this
why they always come back for more
more of each other's enjoyable company
and what I found was not imagined before-
something that's all to blindingly simple,
and is burning at their core…
Yes, between them there is the intellectual,
the heartfelt, and the humor,
and the longing
when one or the other
is away from their computer.
It could be that they both are nuts
or nuts about each other,
but the reason they get back together
is simply to get another
(((hugsss))) !
All day they work their grinding jobs
of toil and drudgery,
and ever in the back of their minds
is this simple little thing
that they rush out to their cars for
and hurry home in hopes to receive
just one more tiny eency-weency
little one of these-
(((hugsss))) !
If you say that words are best
when they aren’t invisible,
then I’d have to disagree
for what makes us indivisible
are the words that are not spoken
like nibbles on the lobes
of the ears that do not hear them
instead they’re swaddled in the robes
of one another’s uninhibited
freely given little things
that are nothing really, but mean the world
to the likes of you and me--
(((hugsss))) !
There are many surface to investigate
that exist between these two
conveying understanding, smiles,
and the occasional boo-hoo’s,
a kaleidoscope of broken glass
in a prismatic display of emotional goo…
but the one thing they both anticipate
staring bug-eyed at their screens
are those simple, impeccable, unrestrained
tugging little things-
