Fairytale Tears

Knew each other for years and years.
Draped in love.
But seasoned with tears.

A fairytale,
to say the least.
Both the beauty,
none the beast.

Their love was parted,
by an evil force.
One locked away
for a painful cause.

Now far apart,
from behind his bars,
and through her window,
they share the stars.

In her palace,
she doth dwell.
Awaiting her hero,
to end this hell.

In his tower,
he sits alone.
Awaiting his princess,
to take him home.

I draw my tale to a halt.
Not quite happy but full of fault.
The end will come at a later time,
but for now I'll have to end my rhyme.
