Friday Night

You brought me a bag of candy.
    Sweet
               sensual
                            Dove chocolates
succumb to the laving of my tongue.

I love to read the little notes
            that nestle
                        next to the comforting confections.

“Get your feet massaged.”

You ask what I’m reading?
                               Do they have messages?

“Oh yes” I reply
                Laughing in a husky voice..
“I need to wash my feet;
it say’s you’re going to massage them.”

You don’t even hesitate
                          just, tell me to hurry
                                               and bring some lotion.

Like chocolate cradled in warm palms
                 I melt under your ministrations.

You wonder why I love you.

chocolate,
        a foot massage,
                              and you…

                                             Friday night in paradise.

This was very nice. Sounds like he has you covered from head to toes. It is so nice to see aromantic piece showing such love and devotion without any sexual overtones. Just being with the one you love should be enough to keep anyone content.

As for a title: Sweets to Feets??? lol

Nice write, so simple, yet the simple things and gestures in life are often the best, I loved how you drew me into this poem so that I too can appreciate what my love does for me. Thanx for sharing.
