Responsibility- exercise it.
Duty- honor it.
License- a privilege, work to keep it.
Government- protection, if you obey it.
Kin- mirrored in our AP community.
Education- sure beats poverty!
Responsibility in this Internet community?
How does it apply? What can it be?
If we have it, we stay,
if we don’t, were gone,
so I guess it all boils down to 'me'-
and what we want our influence to be...
So being directed to an AP family
I found myself exercizing broader responsibilities
born from being an uncle,
a father, a brother,
but, why do I do it, why do I bother?
The answer lies somewhere in the cosmic sea...
My duty is not only to me, but to you-
to be honest, and impart my wisdom, too;
whether you're an adult
or a child in life,
so when you face your independence there
you’ll have already dealt with heartache and strife...
To share some love and caring, too,
for I find those who receive it number too few;
It makes for a better world, you see,
for those neglected and treated abusively-
kind of like fighting poverty,
and is also good for the writing on Allpoetry!
