The Wonder of Cats

Cats are wonderous beings,
Nothing like clumsy dogs!
Smooth and sleek everytime you see them,
Dogs are as graceful as hogs.

In every one of my nine lives
My cat form is what survives.
I wouldn't think of being another
Life form than that of my mother.

Cats can do most any thing.
Cat society is where it swings.
I write poems for my pet Ellis,
Something I do really relish.

I trained Ellis as servant to me.
He feeds me my meals, all three.
I don't mind writing for him,
Since he obeys my every whim.

Cats are beautiful and we're smart,
Every one a work of art.
Egyptians worshipped us as gods,
Now teach them to use I-Pods.

Cats will always carry the day.
We know best, if we do say.
I guide Ellis in every way,
Now for us both -- I say Good Day.
