The Tragedy of Scat Cat

Cat naps being a frequent thing
I never know what I may dream.
The other night one dream did bring
me to my feet with a howling scream

In this worst ever worst nightmare
what I saw gave me a scare
almost too much for this cat to bear
when in my dream I stopped to stare

I was lost in a maze
of electric fans
with whirling blades
Fear filled my glands

Which way to turn
was my concern
I could discern
my stomach churn

As I approached the nearest fan
My troubles then really began
I thought I heard a fan go bam
Instinctively I turned and ran

This was my great fatal mistake
The one that fully sealed my fate
I knew thereafter from that date
With cats I would no longer rate

As I ran on the fly
One fan I fully failed to spy
That fan clipped me, Oh My, Oh My
Right then I kissed my tail goodbye

Thank God this was only a dream
Not really as bad as it seemed
To reassure me as I beamed
I looked behind me -- and I screamed....
