I'm the pet of Tiki Cat
All I get is real upset
Cause she has not always let
Me be me from where I sat
Tiki Cat for me will write
A poem while I am out of sight
I'm afraid one day she might
Stop her treating of me right
Tiki cat is my ghost writer
There is no cat any brighter
We sometimes have an encounter
We disagree, but she talks louder
Matter of fact, she's writing this
Pretends it's me with her fist
Writing so you always miss
That a cat is writing this
I will not give this away
Our great secret remains at bay
And that's how it will stay
Cause I always have my way
Tiki Cat, your "main man" here
Ellis is sometimes a dear
Then he groans and with a sneer
He will often disappear
Ellis leaves to try to write
He may try with all his might
But poor Ellis can't get it right
He will never see the light
Now I'll close and assure you
I am Tiki Cat, it's true
Ellis feeds me; that's in lieu
Of his rent which I charge too
He thinks he's worth a million dollars
I'm the one with the white collars
I eat steak; he eats collards
For my writes make all the dollars
Ellis was worth more than gold
When his first poem book was sold
Cause I wrote it as I've told
I'm Tiki Cat, and I am bold
Now that "Ellis" is through writing
It is going to be exciting
This great poem is so inviting
It will win or I'll stop writing
That of course would never do
I won't take an IOU
If we lose I will blame you

I love line 4: "Me be me from where I set" . In stanza three line 2 Why did you choose none rather than no one? I love the lines about your respective diets!

Very different. Lots of pride yes!!! A lot but that's what i love about Tiki Cat. Look Tiki Cat look so innocence, how can someone resist this cute little innocence cat? How? If you keep writing, one day cat will Rule the World. Love it. Wish you the best. dreamer

This is a funny write, but I'm not seeing anywhere in here where you indicate, "My 'tiki' or 'human' is better than..." Perhaps I need to re-read. This is an interesting concept, though, writing from the cat's point of you. I enjoyed this. Good luck in my contest.
