Dead Fleas Upon My Knees

I ate the moon's green cheese
and burped when I meant to sneeze
Now all day I cough and wheeze
cause I ate the moon's green cheese

Tiki Cat ate a rat
I heard it crunch from where I sat
Now all day she peed and spat
cause Tiki Cat ate a rat

Fat Cat sat upon my knees
Said kill my fleas if you please
I killed all of Fat Cat's fleas
cause Fat Cat sat upon my knees

Scat Cat spat upon the rug
Scat Cat asked me for a hug
I did not give Scat Cat a hug
cause Scat Cat spat upon the rug

Shack Cat burned clean up his shack
He had had a tail attack
Tiki gave his tail a whack
cause Shack Cat burnt clear down his shack

If you have cats at home
they will make you groan and moan
You'll wish they were just on loan
if you have cats at home

Ellis

    Applauded ^_^

Oh my good gosh-ness, I loved this! (I also read it with my 15 year old cat sitting on my lap, my baby kitten at my feet and my two other kitty-kats off doing god knows what) Your poem has a lovely flow and the first rhyming-ness I've seen on AP that isn't forced ^_^ It also has a brilliant and humorous nursery rhyme feel to it...^_^ Awesome poem! Keep writing!

Very cute. Reminescent of T.S. Eliot or The Cat In The Hat!

This is cute! I am moving soon, and I hope I can get my cats back (I can't have them here, and I had to give them to my brother. ). This is pretty cute, and I enjoyed reading it. Best of luck! - oce

This was fun to read - nursery rhyme quality to it, so your categories suit it well. I liked the rhythm and your creativity~

Very nice poem. It's very cute. It made me sad though. One of my cats died a few days ago. We've had him since I can remember. So now I no longer have cats at home, just a cat.
    A very cute poem, though.

This is a sweet poem, one kids could enjoy too. Good rhyme and rhythm and it flows so nicely from one verse to the next.

Oh my gosh! This is so cute and very creative. I'm not a cat lover in particular but I do like them and I could just see these funny occurences as they happened. I love it. Shancy
