I've been hanging out in a Yahoo chat room for years and have made some great friends there. Ignore the dipwads. They make it a lot more enjoyable. 
Technically, this is a senryu with the 5-7-5 format...and under 15 words too!

Well I haven't spent much time in chat rooms, I guess I'm just not a very social person but I know a lot of people have a lot of fun in them and as long as you avoid the people you mentioned, I'm sure it is a fun experience.

Eh, flirting is no big deal...as long as it doesn't progress to anything more! My hubby goes to the same room...so yeah! I flirt like crazy, but it doesn't go past that.

Oh yeah...but in time, you'll get back into the swing of things...then again, the one room I go to I've been going there for years...so I know just about everybody...it's just catching up is all.

i just recently got my computer back and and running and i tried to go into all the old chat rooms i use to....some i was even a mod in.....and everything seems so changed ...even general chat topics..i feel so out of the loop lol

I know this feeling! I used to hang out in chat rooms all the time too, and made some great friends. Whenever I wasn't in a chat room, I was thinking about the next opportunity! I don't go to them anymore though cuz I'm married and it's too tempting to flirt. hehehe Great confession
