Real Laughter For A Real Idiot

Oh, you infamous EGO
When will you understand
That there's not an once of truth
In your conceptual body

Your bones (That never will break)
Are nothing much more than
Borrowed ideas
Your conceptual flesh and blood
Carries no oxygen
To your thoughtful
Unfeeling
heart

A man once said to me
"Life is a Concept"
I laughed in his arrogant face.

Author notes

The man in this story was really a woman' but I didn't want to destroy your concept of my poem.

Yes, Yes, My dearest Presence; I'm reading along your lines in full agreement ~ BRAVO, bravo!....Then I came to this phrase:
" Breathing us into" ~ I think, more the point, what I'm saying is that it's "breathing into Us" ~ bringing with it the gift of Life. Love, Tara

You're right, this hypocitical Vego drinks milk. If no one was eating all that meat, there'd be a lot of crazy bulls running around in my nice peaceful world. Every thing is for a purpose.

built upon the bones of borrowed ideas
truly a framework that spells disaster
and yet we all hang our outer flesh
upon a skeleton of some form
    got milk?

Oh, most certainly I believe in the life eternal, we are living it this very moment, and beyond our present experiences... Infinity

My words were of a breath produced by the living tissue, for surely that will pass away... yet the Breath you speak of is from the Source, breathing us into, through and beyond, what we have come to know...

Thanks for your comments Laura. Again you seem to follow me fully as I battle through a few frustrating complex concepts to reveal some simple truths. Love , Tara

Sorry to disagree Presence, but without that eternal breath can there be eternal life? Is it wise to settle for only conceptual eternal life? Perhaps you don't believe in eternal life and yet all the great masters and teachers have made that promise to us. Peace and joy, Tara

Ah, but so well done....guilt turned itself into a god in my life, at times....mmmm, some deep things to think upon here.

Love your way of speaking Truth to that which is an illusion. Certainly you know the Way beyond the dream, and wander often into the Words of Life. There are no bones... There is no breath... These things will pass away.

"The foolish student hears of the Tao and laughs aloud.
If there were no laughter, the Tao would not be what it is."

    ~Lao Tsu

    hehehe

We are all guilty of this. Sometimes when we hear great truth, it seems so silly and simple, that our ego's immediately discount it as foolishness, when in fact it is us who are the fools.

Thankfully, some of us will see the truth behind the ego's illusions, recognizing our own selves in the process.

Very thought provoking and interesting write.

    peace and love-

Mmmmm, a walk into the depths of imagery, and metaphor. Quite a bit going on in such a short poem, Taranand. I love "your thoughtful, unfeeling heart."
This is quite esoteric, in that the images evoked are metaphorical in themselves, a mirror of how this thought, this ego, it itself trying to replace god with its creations. Arrogant indeed.
A wonderful poem, and thank you for entering.
    peace
