I lay here in solitude
I hear you dropping into slumber
Your breath changes
your once tense hand
first relaxes, then
falls from my body
altogether
Your closed eyes flutter
with reaction to
falling deeper within yourself
I love you
I love everything about you
Your eyes, closed
your breath, deep
your curly chest hair
that I have tangled my
insomniatic fingers into
(unbeknownst to you)
I love how your lips
twitch for a moment
as I place
a soft kiss
upon them
Suddenly your lips
push slightly back
You tell me that
you love me
inaudibly fumbled
by subconscious
I tingle inside
knowing that you
are my partner
for all eternity

there are so many rich sentiments in this poem... lovely indeed to be able to capture those thoughts as your partner is sleeping so close beside you.
a wonderful moment captured...

Oh, this is incredibly beautiful. I loved reading it. You did
a fine job with it. I enjoyed the imagery, too. Shancy. -
You've really captured the feeling of complete love in this one. It's a sweet and beautiful feeling and sometimes so elusive...Well done! Enjoyed reading this.

It's good to love and be loved, and I love the way you've written about it.
