Another Year

Missing image

Time keeps on slipping by,
leaving behind a whispered sigh.
Changing dreams and circumstance,
are caught up in a moonlight dance.

Days unfold to weeks, months, years,
hearts are filled with painful tears.
Life enwraps our tired hopes,
faith grows strong and always copes.

Friendships blossom, new buds bloom,
rooted true in warmth or gloom.
Times remembered hearts are touched,
gifted treasures cherished much.

Today is filled with nostalgic scent,
another year has just been spent.
Happy Birthday my dear friend,
glad to wish you the best again.

    A great tribute to a friend.

    I still like this one because it is a good birthday wish and I plan to keep it for my husband's birthday wish in Febuary.

You've always be there for me. I am floored at how beautiful and real this poem is. It touches on many things that have ocurred in my life, and pulls at my heart. You are such a jewel.
