Preemptive war policy for one,
One which Bush has already done.
Torture of prisoners has begun
In a war that can't be won.

Trying to prevent useless slaughter,
A prince of peace bringing order
Baptized by God's holy water.
It was good to see you Sir,
Causing thought within to stir,
Causing insight to occur
As to what we should prefer.
I pray that you'll always be
The guide we need to hear and see.

LOL, sorry, was reading a comment below.
Goodness help us all if the above statement is true, and I'm sure if George and company have their way, that statement will be accurate, in it's most horrific sense.
I'm done moralizing.
I think Carter was too honorable and decent to have been a good President. I think a certain level of disrepute is built into the office, and necessary in a harsh world. Having said that, I've always been an admirer of his values and conduct and it's sad when I see the Conservative right trying to discredit him, as they've started to do recently.

A nice tribute to Jimmy Carter and Larry King. Unfortunately I missed the episode. Bush attacked country which was no threat for reasons he stated that have proved mostly lies. It is clear that oil was a major consideration and perhaps striking back at Saddam personally. Neither have a place in the leadership of our nation.
