Once Upon a Time

His mouth opens slightly,
in a questioning look.
His blue eyes stare at her,
behind darkened glasses.
She talks of knights in shining armour.
Castles, princes, true love's first kiss-
As she she leans in to kiss him
He is reminded he told Love to bugger off.
He's done things that he regrets
He holds up his hand,
pushing her away,
"There is no happily ever after here."
As he walks away she is left alone,
thinking to herself:
But it could be,
you'd have no regrets... with me.

.
.
``My knight in shining armor turned out to be a loser in aluminum foil....''

"Listen To Your Heart Before You Say Good Bye" (how ironic that this is the song that I downloaded cause it was excatly how I felt...)
Poem I wrote about the only man in my life... *shrugs* He is my friend and my love and my hero, if only he'd realize. I have done all but asked him to be my one and only he just isn't iterested.
