I'm
scared
of
turning
out
like
my
mother,
but
more
so
that
I
already
am.

Thank you all for reading and commenting, funny thing is... This is the shortest thing I've ever written but probably the hardest thing as well. Everyone is afraid of being like their parents, but even thinking about her makes me shake, and thinking about becoming her makes me want to cry. Anyway, thanks all!

Isn't that the truth...I relate well with this one...lostliz

I know what you mean only i think my fears of being like my mom are justified it scares the hell out of me.

Everyone is afraid of becomming like their parents, right? You love them, so, love yourself.

So true. It's horrible too. Except I am still at that phase "I'll never be like my mother" because its obvious that I wont because of religion views lol
Great poem -
i am applauding this because you said something so horribly terrifying in such a simple way.
i feel the same way.
Write on.

I think we're all afraid of turning into our mothers!
Just as long as you still catch yourself when you act like her, your still ok!
