Blazing guns in the depths of war,
The pain and misery once more,
Anger and hate that is around again,
No one ever knows when it will end,
Hatred at this rate hearts will never mend,
Killing one another every night and day,
Innocent lives will suffer for it and pay,
Destroying the world and its peace,
Time to put the guns in the ground,
To hear that peaceful sound,
Time for us all to say no more,
Can’t go on as our hearts are way too sore,
Time to say that enough is enough,
Letting those who suffer walk away free,
Lighting our hearts with warmth and glee,
Time to fight in a different way,
Then respect we all can pay,
Changing anger into hope,
Fight for love, serenity and peace again,
Stop sacrificing our army women and men!

Good
Touching, though naive. Your rhyme scheme seems to be off kelter, which, for me, detracts from the poem. Is it O.K. to kill the Marines, Navy and Air Force men AND WOMEN? My favorite line is "Changing anger into hope." A worthy thought we would all do well to cling to
