Why did He die such a painful death?
Why was He crucified upon a cross?
For what reason did Judas spill all his silver?
Because he crucified my Lord Jesus Christ, ( Matt. 19:17-18)
The roman soldiers gambled for His clothing with dice.
For me He died upon that tree,
And experienced the Lord's wrath true suffering.
So that I might live He had to die,
He drank of the cup till it was dry (Matt. 26:39)
Why would this man so perfect and pure suffer for me?
There's no way that He deserves this and that is my plea.
All for me my sinless Savior died,
The wrath of God was satisfied.
Isn't He good?
Isn't He great?
Risen is the King my God most high, (2 Tim. 2:8a)
It's You I serve until I die.
For me you did this all for me,
You've set this sinner free.
From the chains of hell which no longer keep me from You,
Oh God my God how can I repay You?
All for me how can it be?
I long to see You face-to-face in eternity.
My God eternally grateful I am,
I see a throne upon it a lamb.
Amazing God how can it be,
That You would do this all for me?

So it's definitely not my best poem

I wrote this when i was 14
I plan on updating a bit whenever I get around to it.

I really like those lines. Nice message and good poem.
Only suggestion is maybe but the scripture references in the authors notes.

nice poem, good flow! Although i think you used the phrase "all for me" too many times...It just took away your actual praise to him and gave it a desperate sense! Although i really liked the line...
