Tomorrow...

Yesterday was a nightmare
of thoughts and memories
of people and things
confusing me....

Today is a miracle
of joy and of laughter
of perfect good times
confusing me...

Tomorrow is a blur
of emotions not known
of good...or bad times...
confusing me...

But suddenly I realise
that none of this matters
as long as you are there
here...by my side...

Hi Merrigan sometimes the shortness of words add to the strength of a poem , this is one of those cases.you could have wrote another ten stanzas and still not have added more to this.A great write, and one to set the reader to thinking how precious all of our days are.Without the bad the good do not stand out. well done

    Powerful

Short but very powerful. Great use of the refrain line. Quite thought provoking. Just goes to show that we should all take each day at a time and make the most of them as they come and go!

    Good Effort

This is the perfect example of how we cannot predict what is going to happen from one day to the next. One day sad the other happy. Thats life and you explained it very well.
Great poem. I like short writing.
It is easier to absorb and enjoy.
    Hugs

Hmmm .... very philosophical ... I like what you are saying, as well as the way you have said it. Very well written - short, but powerful, bringing the message straight across. I love it!

    Keep well.
