Hallway Disco

You Got your skates on
we’ll run a marathon
in the wake of what we came here for
you got a dollar, I got some time
lets make the best of what’s around?
Bazooka Joe for the both of us
and ten cents for your thoughts

its amazing the price to live these days
why don’t we just get away?
I claim disability
on the though alone that I take two steps
and my path changes
and my pace changes
and you change
that dollar in your pocket
for all I’ve got

feels like the craziest green you’ve
never tried
something like being closed minded
open wide
kind of like the one time you wished time
stopped, it finally did
a little over the edge but I swear im not falling

but you my dear
you put your skates on only to find
how incredible it is to run
would you rather roll or feel the sand
beneath your toes?
I don’t really know

but I swear it’s a hallway disco in this room
And my walls are spinning,
I wonder when the music stopped,
how the hell i got to this place
I cant go forward
I cant go back
Im a victim to the mirrorball
and the murderer is me
