Hallows Eve Child- for suseann's B'day

Her birthday is today
and on this day the earth received
one who always from childhood had
an affinity toward All Hallows Eve.

"Is it a dead girl," she once asked me,
"or a metaphorical lass?"
"Tell this dense person which,
I'm not trying to be a smart ass!"

So I told the story of this living dead
who invited her lover to join her hence.
"I hope that helps you enjoy the piece!"
"Yes, now it truly makes more sense!"

Since then the spirits visit suseann
on the spooky hallow's night
and at the stroke of twelve beware-
they fills the eve with wicked delight!

    I like it, celebrating hallows eve or samhain is very important to me , this had a bit of wimsy which I truly enjoyed.

    Great Fun

    This was fun. Really very appealing in its playfulness. There's that hint of darkness to it that is NOT dark as defined by half the poets here who are so absorbed in morbid fanaticism that they parody themselves. I really enjoyed this.
