As I walk through ice and snow,
My heart stays warm,
So I'm not cold.
I stand there and let the winter wind,
Take my mind away.
Trying not to change my path,
Warmly I welcome happenstance.
Go on with the flow is what I say.
Lead me and I will follow.
Through the storms,
And through the hallow.
Although nothing but darkness lights my way.
My purpose may not always be fair,
But I have enough time to spare,
I'll live this life,
And I will live it right.

Hahahaha. The return the favor button brought me here. I still love the poem as much as I did the last 10 or so times I have read it

Nicely done. And thanks for putting the sentence in your author's comments as well as your options. Just one suggestion. You might want to put a space between the 4th and 5th lines of the last stanza. I only say that because you change rhythym just a tad in that 4th line. I get that because I am always looking at lyrics and such, but other readers might miss some of your poems impact trying to move through it.
It has a strong and well stated meaning that is easy to grasp. I like the way you layed it out as well.
