Symbolic Six

Fate glistening in dead man's eye
Reaching out to see
For to watch in helplessness
Was his destiny

Trigger pulled, the bullet flies
To call his final bluff
The revolver spins again
A diamond in the rough

Does the sun's englightenment
Shine down on precious few
While others lie in mystery
Left to start anew

Here we lie imprisoned
To the dollar and the pound
Walking in this misled world
The click of change for sound

Are the mentally 'deficient'
What they appear to be
Or do they simply see deeper
Into reality

Do our goals in life mean nothing
As we work day after day
Waiting for the night to come
A darkness here to stay
