Memories that lead to my death

I lay waiting
Drifting abroad in this lifeboat memory,
the paddle slips and obligatory is all that we can see.
The confusing mix
of thoughts and drugs
that lingered in my hallways
wreaked me forever more
I swore I’d never do drugs again
but like the tremors in my sleep
they came again and again
my sonic ballad of remorse

I'm somewhere else entirely
lost amongst the clouds at sea
drifting into the veranda
where I find nothing but ignorance
which falls down like a curtain
blinding all from the truth
and he looks up at me
his hands covers with a viscous jet black
fingernails crusted with a dull red brown
he looks up at me with that idiotically innocent face
and I squeeze the trigger
Slowly we beat ourselves into submission
finally succumbing to this annelidan obscurity…

This is nothing short of captivating. I love the lines in the second stanza; "I'm somewhere else entirely, lost amongst the clouds at sea". There are alot of elements here that I think would bear greater emphasis if you simply isolated them in their own stanzas. Just a thought, but an awesome write to be sure.
