Thankful For Your Wisdom

His wisdom born of sacrifice,
ignore him,you best think twice.
He's learned life's lessons the hard way,
has much to tell us while here to stay.

Not all his battles ended in victory,
how he survived is repeating real mystery.
Wisdom in a lifetime of wins and losses,
fate thrown to the wind he knows what cost is.

Respect his stories he tries to tell true,
no benefit to him,he's not trying to sell you.
He's out lived most friend and foe alike,
traveled winning reward and felt some strife.

His legacy might be all his wisdom,
he feels alone and often winsome.
Great sighs you'll hear from his voice,
so can you relate,it's your own choice?

Well, suseann, since I'm fast beginning to identify with the men in the pic, I have something to aspire to now! lol It's always nice to help the young 'un's out, even here on AP! Some don't understand the AP family thing, but this poem reveals a piece of the value of it!
