| Monica and Jim Many said it would not last, Over five years now have passed. Never dreamt of love like this, Inca princess, that she is. Came to Norway on a plane, At her side I will remain. At the internet we met, Neither knew how far we'd get. Deeply do I feel for her, Just her smile makes my heart stir. Image of true love we found, May we never touch the ground. © Jim T. Author notes
This poem won the Gold trophy in Gaara's contest "Cross continental love".
I could not have written this poem without the help of my beautiful wife Monica (AP-name Monchi). I met my wife on an internet chatroom, and we sat there chatting every day, she in Peru, and me in Norway. Cross continental love...

Thanks, Vickie! We have known eachother for five years, and been married for four. My acrostics are not so good, I've seen much better poets than me... Thanks for the comment!
Jim
-
So I am curious-are you two married or have just been together for the past 5 yrs? Lovely tribute to your relationship-I've tried my hand at a few acrostics-they've been so so-but yours exceeds that. Best wishes in your relationship~

The weekend was great, got to live out some medieval fantasy, with hostile Chaos-worshippers, and werewolves, making problem for a small community of humans and elves... I played the village doctor, and had my fair share of work to do.
I will try to write something about it, in form of a poem.

You're very welcome Jim.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend and all went smoothly. Congratulations on yet another trophy bro.
You are putting the pressure on me here. Little brother can't win
the battle of the siblings.
Keep up the great writing. Love and blessings to my family.

In general your whole message was strage.
But the funniest part was "The equation of love is not applicable to ant fixed rules of the world"... You wrote "ant" instead of "any", and that made me laugh.

It is strange you call it strange..which part do you mean?Let me know

True Love Is Great!!!!!
Jim, This was the perfect poem for this contest, I hadn't realized you entered it in here. You deserved the gold for this and I'm so happy for both of you. Way to go bro. Your home page is looking good. Keep up the great writes and watch those trophies pour in. I know I've been here before, but I have to applaud again. I am a romantic at heart and true love like this makes my heart smile just as much as the smile on my face. Love and blessings for both of you.

Thanks, Udit! Yes, Monica is a wonderful person, and the love I feel for her is deeper than the ocean, bigger than the world, and as profound as time and space itself.

Hi Porchi! No, my wife and son lives in Norway. What you read about my son being in a preschool in Peru, refers to when my wife and my son were on vactation there, so her parents could see their grandson...

Thanks for a nice, if a little strange comment, and a wonderful applause!

The equation of love is not applicable to ant fixed rules of the world. It kneel down the logic, breaks the lines and captivates hearts!
Talking about feelings sounds too hard for me but you always can do that. It’s so good.I enjoy it.
Golden days are waiting for you..so forget the coldness of this winter.Snow will melt away soon and green spring will come with the buds of success.
Be vernal,dear...like a vernal leaf.

Good one ^_^
I've heard of such a scenario before,
as some of my friends had some of those internet romances as well, but no one ever got a lasting one XP

beautiful
First off, thank you for entering our contest. Second, Wow! This poem is very beautiful. It's cool how it fits my boyfriend and I so well. We both met on the internet. He's from Norway and my family is from Peru. Not to mention my ancestors are Incan, and you mentioned the girl in the poem to being incan. It's very odd, but it's cool. I could understand what the narrator in you poem is feeling and what emotions they are experiencing. I really like this poem. Well, keep up the brilliant work and i hope to see more of your poems on this site. Good luck in our contest! ^-^

So Beautiful and filled with emotion!!!
Jim,
My wonderful AP bro, this is so beautiful. I think it is the best how you express your feelings through words. And as Deb just said it doesn't matter how you came together, the love is there. I wish many, many, many more wonderful years of wedded bliss for you and your family. True love conquers all and I hear it in your words. God bless you and Monica with much love and happiness. You certainly have applause from me with this work of art. May you soar to heights never reached by any other. Lots of love to both of you from sis,
Joyce

Wow! Such an intermixing of cultures. In my mind, it doesn't matter how two people are brought together. If love is there, there is no reason why the two shouldn't be together. Congratulations on your five years of happiness!
-
very pretty Jim many more years of wedded bliss.. and I do me this ..Love Sis

Ah, this is so difficult. Yesterday a friend of mine told me to give up on an Italian woman living in the north who I met at university for good, but after reading this, I'm not so sure that her advice is right.
