Useless Yet Rentless Rage

Useless Yet Relentless Rage
©copyright 2005 Bonita M Quesinberry, R.C.

That old foe beat the princess senseless,
her inert form pained and withered before a whited bench.
At her ashes he cast base glances,
her Lord's ire moved by his vile laughter at the godly wench.
God's angels took protective stances,
mother earth reeled, and heaven's stars moved in eerie dances.
This princess would not lose destined time,
for her enemy's rage is useless yet so relentless.

Indeed, useless yet relentless rage;
for this handmaiden is judged by only the Son's just gauge.

God's hands whipped and whirled through her ashes,
a sooty vessel spinning into her reformation.
She rose tall and turned slowly to glare
into the cold, dead eyes of unwise abomination.
She hissed, "How pompously you would dare?
Dare come against me, rather your Lord who for me does care,
who's been declared infinitely mine?
Dare think I'll be swayed by your offer of painless caches?"

Indeed, useless yet relentless rage;
for her mortal foe is judged by only the Son's just gauge.

"How dare you: you of little tower
sprawled out upon a stolen throne, wearing a tainted crown
while off'ring the Son's riches to all;
though, you tempt the great congregation with cruelty's frown,
hoping each will take a deadly fall.
You cannot win a battle with this Phoenix standing tall;
for only Christ was loving and kind
and offered an infinitely undefeated power."

Indeed, useless yet relentless rage;
for Almighty God judges by only His Son's just gauge.

Author notes

I was aware that I stared death in the face when he slammed me with a brain aneurysm; but, my Lord's protection is impenetrable! Praise the Lord!

    I am so pleased your muse is healthy and strong!! This is so elegant in its words and paints such a dramatic picture of what it is like to face the ultimate enemy. You are the "Phoenix standing tall". the princess we all adore! Your grace shows through even in the heat of battle. This is a lovely and inspiring write! Karen

    "Indeed, useless yet relentless rage;
    for Almighty God judges by only His Son's just gauge"-What an assuring comfort this offers. I'm glad I don't get what I deserve, but mercy instead. You can tell by this write that you are up and running at full mental speed. Much love, Dear Bonnie, girl!!! vj
