Missing Grandpa

Her heart screamed
And she ever dreamed
Of the beautiful times
She made up so many rhymes
Yet now as her sorrow was at it's most
There was no great work for her to boast
So she sat down thinking
Her eyes she was blinking
Trying not to cry
She did not want to say goodbye
Yet all the same she knew
Even though she felt blue
It was OK for her to mourn
Finally she did not feel so torn
The one who left will be sorely missed
And all the items worshiped that he kissed
His presence will never cease
And finally he is at peace.

Author notes

My grandpa just passed away this Wednesday October 19th at around 7:30 p.m. I was requested to have something to say at his funeral which is on Monday so I decided what better thing to write than a poem.
