She waved,
And beamed a smile.
He returned her thrown kiss.
Already late for work, he called,
“I love you, don’t forget the milk.”
She knowingly nodded to him,
Hushing him to hurry.
As he drove off,

And beamed a smile.
He returned her thrown kiss.
Already late for work, he called,
“I love you, don’t forget the milk.”
She knowingly nodded to him,
Hushing him to hurry.
As he drove off,
She waved.
Author notes
This is in the form of a rictameter. I thought it might be interesting to write about what a modern true love may be. I mean what couple doesn't eventually remind one another to get the milk? OK enjoy.

Wow.. I like this a lot! Aren't moments like this precious? I'm sorry about the contest--I wish you'd been able to enter this; I don't know how to allow prewrites, so I just didn't.
